GENERAL MEETING: Our General Meeting will be on February 21, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Avenue on the corner of Alameda and Fairfax. We meet on the third Saturday of every month except July, August, and December. Enter through the east door on Fairfax Street. We meet in the big room at the end of the hall. Members please bring friends to our meetings and remember to wear your nametag! If your sign-in number is called and you are wearing your nametag, you will win $5.00.
JANUARY PROGRAM: Anne Martinez gave us a very informative and enjoyable watercolor demonstration. She showed us how to combine colors so they relate well to each other and the result is a beautiful floral painting.
FEBRUARY PROGRAM: We will have a critique by Pat Fostvedt. Pat is well known in the Denver area and will give us very helpful suggestions to change and improve our paintings. Members please bring one unframed piece each to be critiqued.
In March we will have Peggy Atkinson who will do a demo of night scenes, and in April we will have an oil painting demo by Gary Michael.
SSSSSHHHHHHH!! Please let us be quiet during our demos and critiques. If we talk it is very disturbing to our guest artists. Thank you.
REFRESHMENTS: Dorothy Petet and Marcia Williams will bring refreshments for February, and Nancy Graham and Lyle Jencsok will do March. Please volunteer to help Millie Wilner do June.

EXHIBITS: LaVeryn Talmage, our Exhibits Chairman, has arranged for us to have a show at Montview Presbyterian Church April 4th to May 10th. Please bring two paintings per member to Montview on Saturday, April 4th from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. The paintings are $5.00 each to show. Please pay when you bring them in. If you sell, 5% will go to DAAG and 10% to Montview Presbyterian. Please tell LaVeryn if you aren’t able to be in the show. She would also like help hanging the show. The sign-up sheet will be available at the next meeting. Please have your paintings framed and with hanging wire on the back. We will take down at noon on Sunday, May 10th. If you can’t take your paintings, please arrange for someone else to pick them up for you. LaVeryn is checking out Littleton Town Hall for a show. We do not have a date yet, but we will let you know when we do.
NEW EXHIBIT AREA FOR DAAG MEMBERS: Liz Shepherd, a friend of Ann Hanscom, has a convention display business called ExhibitPro International, and she would like some of our framed pieces to show in her work place. Her office is at 6835 S. Dayton Street in Greenwood Village. If you are interested in showing your work there, please call her at (720) 529-9939 to make arrangements. Roland Jones is showing there now and will be there through February, so the next opportunity to show will be in March.
NEW MEMBER: Estelle Pettit is our newest member. Congratulations and welcome to DAAG!
WEBSITE: We have a fine website, and we would like more members to put their work on it. Call our webmaster, Karl Johnson, to find out how to get your work on the computer, or call Joyce Madden. The cost is $25.00 to put six paintings online.
