GENERAL MEETING: Our General Meeting will be on October 17th, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Avenue, on the corner of E. Alameda and South Fairfax in Denver. We meet on the third Saturday of every month except July, August, and December. Come in the east door on Fairfax Street and find us in the big room at the end of the hall. Members please bring friends to our meetings and remember your nametag! If your sign-in number is called and you are wearing your nametag, you will win $5.00! 

NOTE: The Board will meet immediately after the General Meeting.


OCTOBER PROGRAM: Camille Scott will give a demonstration in encaustic painting. There will be member participation. If you have an encaustic iron, please bring it.


SEPTEMBER PROGRAM: Charles Danford gave us an interesting painting demonstration. He paints from his photos and moves the objects around to get the best placement. 


EXHIBITS: We will take down the D.U. show on Saturday October 31st at 11:00. Best of Show was won by Peggy O’Brien for “August Sunflowers”; First Place: Nancy Graham for “North Boulder Creek #2”; Second Place: Mary Beth Kreizel for “Summer Cactus”; Third Place: Karyn Zimmerman for “Blue Bowl”, and Honorable Mentions: Floy Walberg for “High Plains Industry”, and Roland Jones for “Virtuoso” . 


NEXT EXHIBIT: At Littleton Town Hall from November 3rd to January 5th. Instructions for this show are on the back of the newsletter, and an insert is included to mail to Treasurer Marcia Williams with your check. Judy Wroblewski is in charge of this show.


REFRESHMENTS: Estelle Petitt and Ardath Baker will bring refreshments in October. In November Helen Buznedo and Marion Wright will bring refreshments.
